Westbourne Grove's first pintxo-style bar, can be found on the former site of The Tea Palace. The brainchild of owner/general manager John Thornhill, Pix was inspired by his regular visits to the popular pintxo bars of Barcelona, San Sebastian and Madrid. Heralding its name sake, Pintxos (meaning thorn or spike) are a form of finger-food, often served on a slice of bread and held together by a wooden skewer. At Pix, there is a selection of 20 pintxos available, including vegetarian, meat, fish and dessert options. Diners help themselves to the selection displayed on the bar, and at the end of the visit, the skewers are counted and charged accordingly.
