Daphne's
Lady Blonde says: “Full of charm all year round, this understated but chic Italian restaurant is one of my favourites in the South Ken area.”

Location: South Kensington
Nearest tube: South Kensington
Daphne’s appeal lies not only in its seasonal Italian country cooking, but also in its natural warmth and effortless charm. This chic, understated restaurant is a delight all year round: in summer, the conservatory roof opens to create an alfresco feel; in winter, a blazing fire creates an intimate retreat.

Daphne’s Conservatory, warmed by an open fire in winter and cooled by its retractable roof in summer, makes an ideal setting for a private party. Up to 40 guests can enjoy lunch or dinner, or 50 can gather for drinks and canapés. Menus range from £38 to £49 per person.

Food
Head Chef Michael Brown serves seasonal Italian favourites such as San Daniele ham with pears, Burrata with San Marzano tomatoes and hand made pastas.
Drink
Specialising in European and Italian wines, Daphne's also recommends wines of the month.
Lady Blonde's Highlights
A glass of Champagne and a plate of zucchini fritte (£4.75) is a combination not to be missed; one of my favourite treats.
