Step into a quintessentially French film experience in the heart of South Kensington. Launched by Catherine Deneuve in 1998, Ciné Lumière embodies everything chic, sophisticated and culturally rich about film watching. From the newest French releases to the classic films shown every Sunday, everything is screened in its original language with English subtitles. Over and beyond the (not so) ordinary cinema outing, the newly refurbished auditorium of 252 seats offers itself ideally for private hire, whether for a private film screening, press launch, corporate meeting, conference, photo shoot or fashion show.
With four very different spaces available, the Institut can accommodate functions with a cultural focus, from large-scale parties to small group events. It also provides a stunning backdrop for filming and photoshoots. Please note that private events such as birthday or wedding parties cannot be hosted at the venue.

Le Bistrot is a French-style café-restaurant serving French breakfast including pastries, croissants, morning coffees, bistro meals, salads, sandwiches and snacks at lunchtimes.
